Not only it is imperative and legally important to display your security licence in NSW but you also must produce your licence for inspection on demand.
It must be produced to a police officer or any other member of the NSW Police Force, or any person with whom you have dealings while carrying on any security activity.

A member of the public can demand to inspect the security licence as mentioned it is law that all Security Officers display their licence at all times whilst on duty therefore they can demand to see it but not hand it over to them.
Can a Security Officer provide their name to a member of the public?
There is nothing wrong with a Security Officer providing their name to a member of the public.
This just shows professionalism by the Security Officer. Its also based on the organisations SOPs.
