Details on HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Course

This course has been designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver adequate 1st aid until medical help arrives. Most industries require this course to be updated every 3 years and the CPR component every 12 months. You will need to check what your particular industry requires of you.

To apply for a NSW Security Licence you will need to complete training in HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and you are required to update your training every 3 years.

Your First Certificate will be available to be picked up or posted within 7 days after completing the course.

Prerequisites

There is no prerequisite for this unit. You must however, have the Foundation Skills (language, literacy and numeracy) that are essential to perform oral communication in order to make an accurate verbal report to emergency response services or to your workplace supervisor.

Course Content

PART 1: All students are required to complete SECTA online theory prior to the commencement of the one day practical component. Students will gain access to the online formative study once full payment has been made.

PART 2: The one day practical component of the course reinforces the theory component covered in the SECTA online formative study. The practical 8 hour training course consists of demonstrations, CPR, scenarios and roles plays.
