NSW SECURITY LICENCE

Applying for a NSW security licence is a quick and easy process that can be done online through Service NSW.
To begin with, it is recommended that you enroll in a security course offered by a highly reputable training organization, such as SECTA.
The steps are straightforward and involve attaching all necessary documentation when prompted, with SLED processing your payment and conducting probity checks to verify any criminal history.
If granted, you will receive a Photograph Advice letter which you must take to a Service NSW centre to have your photograph taken within 60 days.
Your licence card will then be sent to your postal address within 10 working days.
In the event of your application being refused, you will receive a letter with an explanation and appeals process.
Further information can be found by contacting a NSW SLED representative – Tel: 1300 362 001
