NSW LEPRA ACT.

The NSW (New South Wales) law that covers security officers in apprehending an offender is the NSW Law Enforcement Powers and Responsibilities Act 2002 (LEPRA).LEPRA deals with the powers of security officers, including their power to arrest or detain a person for certain offenses, use reasonable force to do so, and conduct searches in certain circumstances .
However, it is important to note that security officers must be trained by a premier training organisation and have a current NSW security license to exercise these powers, and their use of force must be proportionate to the circumstances at hand. It is also important for security officers to follow their employer’s policies and procedures regarding the use of force and apprehension of offenders.
