DAVID JOHN ORD – Director/Head Trainer

David Ord has been an integral part of SECTA Training for over 25 years. David Ord spent 25 years in the NSW Police Force before leaving to take up a position as Training Manager with SECTA. David Ord is passionate about his training and genuinely cares about his students, many of whom keep in touch with him today. David continues to maintain his professionalism by being actively involved with various companies and being given the opportunity to liaise with security officers in the field. David’s wealth of knowledge has inspired many students to further their careers in the security industry by taking on managerial roles and even starting their own security companies.

Duncan McGufficke – Director

Duncan McGufficke pioneered security training in Australia by starting SECTA Training Academy in 1984.At the time he had the insight to hire professional trainers from the outset and since 1984 SECTA has trained over 40,000 people.

New ventures are usually labours of love and Duncan was no different with SECTA and it rose quite quickly in prominence throughout NSW as the go to place if you wanted to be trained correctly. Initially SECTA was a recruitment agency to 30 security companies, however since becoming involved with jobpedal, which is a software recruitment program SECTA now has over 690 security companies utilising their services.

Bianca – Security Trainer

Bianca became an integral member of the SECTA Team at the end of 2021. Bianca comes with an abundance of experience having spent nearly 30 years working in the Security Industry. Since 1994 Bianca jointly owned and operated her own Security and Training company. Bianca, as an experienced Trainer and Assessor, is more than compliant with all the training and assessment activities as required by the NSW SLED. Bianca keeps up to date with her Professional Development and supplements her wealth of knowledge as a security operative by consulting and liaising with industry on a regular basis. Having performed a variety of security services, including Cash-in Transit, Event, Retail and Mobile and Static Security, Bianca is able to relate, on a professional level, to the students and is always willing to assist and advise on the enormous number employment opportunities available.

Tony Pearce – Security Trainer

Anthony has worked for Secta Training Academy for 17 years and is one of our NSW Police approved Security Industry Trainers delivering the Certificate II in Security Operations and is one of our First Aid Trainers delivering accredited First Aid Courses. Anthony comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge with over 32 years of security-related experience and senior security management experience working for major corporations and within numerous Law Enforcement and Government sectors. This has included overseeing critical infrastructure, major facilities hospitals, retail shopping centers, educations facilities, aviation, and government facilities throughout Australia and throughout the Asia Pacific.
Anthony has vast experience working in other unique roles including National Compliance and Training roles, State Risk Investigations, and Risk Manager. Anthony has conducted numerous Security Risk Assessments for Government and private sectors including international and domestic facilities in Hong Kong, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, India, and Canada. Anthony has managed and overseen large security contracts and portfolios and assisted in the successful implementation of organisational Policy and Procedures and ISO standards.
Anthony significant experience in holding senior national security management roles and developing and designing training programs specific to the security industry. Anthony was a previous member of the SLED Advisory Council and is a current member of ASIAL.
Holding the roles as National Security Manager Anthony was responsible for developing strategic business plans and implementing security risk management plans, completing WHS management plans, and completing strategic security risk assessments.

Roland Szenasi – Security Trainer

Roland is an approved teacher in the field of security operations. He currently delivers and assesses the SLED approved (1AC) CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations course at Secta Training Academy.
Since early 2008, Roland’s experiences in this industry includes, but is not limited to, control room operations, patrolling, plain-clothes loss prevention, dog handling, gatehouse security, courthouse security, event management security, security business management, concert security, security risk management, training and assessment (classroom and workplace), investigations, surveillance, debt collection, process serving, and crowd control at licensed premises.
As a seasoned security professional, Roland is committed to improving the security industry in NSW through his role as a 2D trainer and assessor in the vocational education and training (VET) sector. Roland also utilises his skills as an adult English language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) specialist teacher in facilitating skills development amongst his students. Roland has a solid knowledge base in adult LLN and foundation skills provision, which is assessed as part of the pre-screening SLED mandated LLN to determine students’ suitability to commence security-studies. He utilises a tool that is mapped across to the Australian Core Skills (i.e. learning, reading, writing, oral communication, digital literacy, and numeracy) Framework (ACSF).
Roland is hoping to continue his studies related to adult VET and LLN foundation skills at the postgraduate level, with the aim of completing a research degree incorporating in part his teaching field of security-operations studies and his undergraduate degree from Charles Sturt University.

Annabel

Annabel has been working with Jobpedal and Secta for the last 4 years. She has interviewed over 1000 students through the Jobpedal platform to help them gain work in various industries.
Annabel also comes from a marketing and events background having extensive experience in the music and live events sector.
Annabel has talked to so many people and knows how to get a conversation going, which brings out the best in every jobseeker she interviews.
She will always study up on each jobseeker’s background and do some research on that person prior to their studio interview.
Being an accomplished videographer as well as a great interviewer and excellent photographer makes Annabel an integral part of the jobpedal team.

Dee

Dee has been part of SECTA and job pedal team for a number of years, as a videographer, presenter, photographer and interviewer. Dee has special luminous and charismatic personality when you meet her. It is extremely important for an interviewer, presenter to have these traits and Dee always brings out the best in people during interviews.

The genuineness of a real conversation will come across in Dee’s on-air presence, and the ease of the people Dee is interviewing is quite evident.Dee’s background is from the movie and entertainment industry being an Actress, Print Model, Singer & Voice over Artist. She has under her belt over 40 TVCs & short films

Naomi

Naomi is an Australian actress, singer and songwriter. She was the co-host of Disney Channel Australia’s Hanging with Adam & Naomi and was nominated for a 2015 Astra Award for most outstanding presenter. Naomi is well sort after for the podcast interviews at the Jobpedal interviews in Granville.

Alexa

Alexa is an Actress, Model, Dancer, Singer and an accomplished presenter for Jobpedal.

Nelson

Nelson is an actor, script writer, journalist and accomplished radio producer.
He is a valuable member of the Jobpedal team and keeps on getting better with the many interviews he conducts at the Granville studio.
