Details on SITHFAB002 Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)

This course has been designed for persons who are seeking employment in the hospitality industry where alcohol is either served or sold. This includes clubs, pubs, restaurants, bottle shops, sporting events and various functions. Persons to whom this course is relevant includes security officers, waiters, concierge, reception staff, bar staff and other staff who have contact with patrons where alcohol is available.This course meets all the requirements of the training package for SITHFAB002 Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol and the NSW Office of Liquor, Racing and Gambling.

Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites for this course. However, you need to be over 18 years of age to enrol.

The legal aspects of the Liquor Act and the Registered Clubs Act

The issues surrounding alcohol abuse Recognising the different levels of intoxication

How to take the appropriate action when dealing with intoxicated patrons

How to assist patrons to follow the responsible drinking guidelines

How to prevent underage drinking
