Certificate III in Security Operations CPP30411 – Armed Guard (1F) Security Licence

This course covers the mandatory requirements for all new entrants into the Security Industry in New South Wales wishing to apply for an Armed (1F) Licence. At the successful completion of this course you will be able to apply for employment as an armed guard within the NSW Security Industry. Your prospective employer will then provide you with the further firearms training requirements to obtain your 1F Licence from the NSW Firearms Registry. Student Handbook link. (Click here to view)

Course Entry Requirements:
Must have Certificate II in Security Operations CPP20212 from NSW SLED Approved RTO.
NB: Call SECTA if you do not hold this qualification as part of your current licence class (1AC).
You must be an Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen or hold a Visa that entitles you to full work rights in Australia. That is, 40 hours per week.
You must have had NO criminal convictions in the past 10 years or NO non-convictions in the past 5 years. Fact Sheet No. 6. (Click here to view)

You must pass a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Test as part of the enrolment process.

Course Outline and Duration:
The Certificate III in Security Operations CPP30411 - Armed (1F) course is conducted on a Full-Time over 12 days. Monday to Saturday for 2 weeks and covers the mandatory 100 hours of face-to-face training as required by SLED for 1F Training. Timetable: (Click here to view)

NB: Should you wish to undergo the Certificate III in Security Operations for Bodyguard (1B) in addition to the Armed (1F) the cost is $1250.00. Check Timetable for the additional 2 days of training required for 1B.
