CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations Class 1ACE 2BC Licence Course

This course covers the mandatory vocational training and assessment requirements for both new entrants and those returning to the sector after an absence of several years into the security industry in New South Wales. 

This course will provide you with the skills, knowledge and attributes required to work in the following areas: unarmed static and/or mobile patrol security officer, a loss prevention officer working in retail, a screening officer, a crowd controller at clubs, pubs, sporting events or concerts, and as a control room operator or monitoring centre operator.

The course comprises of fifteen (15) units of competency, as prescribed by the NSW Police Force, the Security Licensing and Enforcement Directorate (SLED).

To work in NSW as a security officer, students will be required to complete the CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations course. The one (1) unit HLTAID003 Provide first aid is a core unit of this course and is also a requirement for class 1 security licensing purposes in NSW.

If you have already attained the HLTAID003 Provide first aid unit from another Registered Training Organisation (RTO), please provide Secta Training Academy with the original transcript/testamur upon enrolment.

Two Star Training Package – $700

This package includes:

CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations (security licence classes 1ACE)

Course duration: minimum 102 hours (11 days) mandated training by the SLED, in addition to self-paced student learning provided by Secta Training Academy.

NB:  This package does not include the first aid unit. A statement of attainment will be issued after successful completion of the units that form part of the course (excluding first aid).

Three Star Training Package – $750

This package includes:

CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations (security licence classes 1ACE)

HLTAID003 Provide first aid

Course duration: minimum 110 hours (12 days), including the minimum 102 hours (11 days) mandated training by the SLED, in addition to self-paced student learning provided by Secta Training Academy.

NB:  This package includes the first aid unit. The CPP20212 qualification will be issued after successful completion of the first aid unit and other units that form part of the course.

Four Star Training Package – $880     

This package includes:

CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations (security licence classes 1ACE)

HLTAID003 Provide first aid

SITHFAB002 Provide responsible service of alcohol (RSA)

Course duration: minimum 116 hours (13 days), including the minimum 102 hours (11 days) mandated training by the SLED, in addition to self-paced student learning provided by Secta Training Academy.

NB:  This package includes the first aid unit. The CPP20212 qualification will be issued after successful completion of the first aid unit and other units that form part of the course. The RSA unit will be issued as a statement of attainment once successfully complete.


Course entry requirements:

Students must be at least 18 years of age to commence training and to apply for a security licence in NSW. Students must also provide identification equivalent to 100 points upon enrolment.

Students must complete an adult language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment, as part of the enrolment process. This is a diagnostic tool used by Secta Training Academy to assess your skill levels and identify any learning needs before training commences.

Students must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or a permanent Australian resident or a holder of a Visa that entitles you to work in Australia (other than a student or working holiday visa).

Course Entry Requirements:

Students must be at least 18 years of age to commence training and to apply for a security licence.
You must be an Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen or hold a Visa that entitles you to full work rights in Australia (persons on Student or Holiday Visa are not permitted to undergo security training

Course Outline:

Courses are conducted either full-time or part-time (over 6 weekends). Both courses cover the mandatory 102 hours of face-to-face training as required by SLED.

 Duration:

The course is conducted over 11 days AND First Aid is conducted over 1 day - Monday to Saturday each week from 8.00am to 7.00pm.
